Design Engineer - Customized Implants

Stryker seeks a Design Engineer for its Customized Implants division in Ventura, California to design patient-specific temporomandibular joint implants. The role involves collaborating with surgeons and clinical specialists to create custom solutions using CAD software and anatomical analysis.
Responsibilities
- Design patient-specific TMJ implants according to engineering procedures and surgeon preferences
- Evaluate CT scans and anatomical models for quality, geometry, and design suitability
- Create 3D implant designs using CAD software based on surgeon input and patient anatomy
- Prepare design review packages, manufacturing drawings, and approval schematics
- Coordinate with manufacturing and customer service teams to support production readiness
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Biomedical, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline
- Strong customer focus and exceptional communication skills
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship requirement
- CAD software experience, preferably SolidWorks
- Basic understanding of human anatomy
- Internship experience in engineering, product design, or medical device manufacturing
Compensation: $76,500 - $122,000 USD annual
