Manufacturing Engineer

We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to develop efficient manufacturing systems and machining requirements, improving packaging performance and efficiency every day. Responsibilities Perform in‑depth investigations into processes and products as assigned by management. Use engineering principles to verify manufacturability of new products or modify existing ones based on customer requests, sales engineering input, and manufacturing feedback. Act as liaison between Engineering, Procurement, and Manufacturing to ensure seamless communication. Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to design solutions that minimize labor and overhead costs. Review form, fit, and function of product designs with other designers using SolidWorks. Develop manufacturing documentation to support tooling, manufacturing, and preparation activities. Operate power and hand tools, and lift/move parts weighing up to 40lb during evaluations. Initiate and coordinate development programs to increase cost efficiency and streamline manufacturing workflows, including testing and analysis of assemblies, processes, and prototypes. Contact and, when necessary, visit customers, suppliers, and agencies to obtain information about existing products, purchased parts, material selections, or manufacturing processes. Travel as needed to provide engineering field support for the customer base and dealer/agent network. Work with Quality Control on non‑conformance issues. Maintain primary internal contacts with Sales, Purchasing, Engineering, and Manufacturing departments; manage moderate external contact with suppliers/vendors and occasional contact with customers. Qualifications Bachelor of Science in an engineering discipline or equivalent (preferred). Three years of engineering experience required; packaging industry experience preferred. SolidWorks experience and ability to evaluate form, fit, and function. Experience in machine design, tooling, controls, or field maintenance. Preferred experience operating machining equipment.
