Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients with orthopedic injuries or conditions to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, addressing pain management, mobility enhancement, and functional restoration.
• Provide ongoing consultations to multidisciplinary healthcare providers to ensure a coordinated approach to patients' care continuum.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments, progress, and discharge plans, adhering to all applicable laws and professional standards.
• Engage with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians and support staff, to discuss patient care plans and modifications based on progress.
• Participate actively in leadership and community involvement initiatives, contributing to program development and outreach efforts.
• Supervise and mentor assigned support staff, including Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and students, to optimize team performance and learning.
• Attend continuous education sessions and staff meetings to enhance personal competence and stay current with industry advancements.
• Facilitate patient and family education, ensuring understanding of treatment modalities and discharge planning.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our rehabilitation facility serves a diverse patient population, primarily focusing on individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. We prioritize respect and tailored care, ensuring that our treatment approaches consider the unique needs and backgrounds of each patient.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution is required.
• A valid State License in Physical Therapy is mandatory.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for effective patient interaction and team collaboration.
• Proficient in computer skills, particularly in documentation and electronic health record systems.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in orthopedic rehabilitation is preferred but not required.

• Experience in team leadership and mentoring of support staff is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
