Locum Physician (MD/DO) - Obstetrics and Gynecology in Santa Cruz, CA

Doctor of Medicine | Obstetrics and Gynecology Location: Santa Cruz, CA Employer: SalviaCore Solutions Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: 5 days x 8 hours Start Date: ASAP About the Position Responsibilities Provide comprehensive OB/GYN Hospitalist coverage, including management of the OB Emergency Department. Manage inpatient deliveries (averaging 60-65 per month) with a C-section rate of 25-30%. Perform vaginal deliveries and assist with C-sections. Collaborate closely with on-site support staff, including ultrasonographers, 24/7 anesthesia coverage, and specialist perinatologists/neonatologists. Monitor patients receiving Pitocin or other contraction-inducing medications. Handle urgent OB/GYN surgical cases that arise during call shifts. Note: Duties do not include elective abortions or postpartum tubal ligations (unless performed during a C-section). Utilize Cerner EHR for clinical documentation. Qualifications & Credentialing Education: Graduate of an ACGME-accredited residency program. Board Status: Board Certification is highly preferred; truly Board Eligible candidates will be considered. Licensure: Active California State medical license is required. Certifications: Current DEA, BLS, and ACLS certifications are required. Experience: Recent laborist experience is required; we are seeking candidates with active clinical labor and delivery backgrounds. Clinical History: A clean malpractice history is required. Submission Requirement: A Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentation is mandatory. Communication: Bilingual proficiency is strongly preferred to serve our diverse patient demographic. Geography: Local candidates from the Greater Bay Area are preferred. What We Offer Hourly Rate: $320-$340 per hour. Holiday Rate: $480-$510 per hour. Orientation: $160-$170 per hour (kicks in after the first 8 hours of training). Malpractice: Comprehensive malpractice coverage is included in the rates provided. Travel & Lodging: Typical travel coordination and lodging at preferred hotels are provided.
