Sunflower Bank, N.A. is looking for an energetic, highly motivated individual to fill the position of a HR Generalist at our Plano, TX location. 

This position must work On-site. 

Description:

The HR Generalist provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources Department. This position is responsible for supporting leave of absence, workers’ compensation, and workplace accommodation administration for various states, maintaining employee personnel files, preparing reports and audit requests, and completing various HR projects and assignments.

Responsibilities:

• HR inbox and hotline management. 
• Serve as an administrator for leave of absence and workplace accommodation programs, managing cases from initial request through resolution and return to work. 
• Coordinating companywide events and communications.
• Act as a resource for employees regarding benefits, compensation, scheduling, policies, and HR processes.
• Name Tag, Logowear, supply ordering.
• Prepare and send termination packets for all departing employees.
• Ensures proper HR documentation, filing and maintenance. 
• Complete monthly invoice reconciliations. 
• Audit the HRIS system to ensure accuracy. 
• Research confidential employee data and runs reports as needed. 
• Prepare and send periodic reports.
• Ensures all employee required training is completed by due date. 
• Assist with event planning for Plano office and employees. 
• Complete various projects for the department.
• Perform the job in accordance with applicable industry laws and regulations as well as the policies and procedures established by the company.
• Responsible for upholding Fair and Responsible Banking practices and Code of Ethics and Conduct guidelines.
• Understand and participate in the Bank’s Community Reinvestment Act program.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education / Experience Preferred:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Business school or Associate’s Degree preferred.
• Demonstrated experience administering FMLA, ADA/workplace accommodations, disability, and other federal and state leave programs.
• Demonstrated experience with workers’ compensation programs.
• Possess a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. 
• Must have knowledge of secretarial, office administrative procedures and knowledge of use and operations of standard office equipment at a level generally acquired through three plus years related experience.
• Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software.

Pay is dependent on knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, and location.

Working Conditions  

The physical demands of this position require the ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Employees may spend extended periods sitting or standing, using hands to operate computers or other equipment, and reaching for work-related tasks. Regular walking may be required, along with occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, or climbing. The role may involve lifting or moving items weighing up to 10 pounds. Vision requirements include close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
