Armed Protective Security Officer - FPS

MUST HAVE FPS EXPERIENCE TO ATTEND!

2 Years of Armed FPS-PSO Experience REQUIRED. OR Military (with honorable discharge) or police background experience REQUIRED. MUST have valid Driver's License. Must be 21 & over. Responsibilities Protect the principal against possible threats. Federal building access control, employee and visitor identification checks, security equipment monitoring, roving patrols of the interior and exterior of federal property. Monitoring surveillance cameras for any disruptions or unlawful activities. Providing detailed reports on daily activities and or incidents that may have occurred. Knowledgeable and able to effectively use magnetometer and X‑ray machines. Using provided communication devices, such as two‑way radios, in a clear and concise manner. Leverages excellent listening and service skills in emergency response and evaluation procedures. Performing CPR or first aid when needed. Ensure credentials are maintained per contract requirements. Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor and/or Project Manager. Qualifications Minimum requirements: Must be at least 21 years of age. Be a United States citizen or a Lawful Permanent Resident who is currently a member of, or who possesses a verifiable honorable discharge from, any component of the United States Armed Forces (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard). Been issued a Social Security Card by the Social Security Administration, which bears the individual's name and social security number. A minimum of two (2) years of armed security experience or one (1) year of law enforcement experience in a full‑duty status with a full‑service police department in a municipality, state, or federal law enforcement department within the US. A minimum of two (2) years as a member of any US Armed Forces with an honorable discharge. Fluently speak, read, and comprehend English and be able to compose written reports in English. Must be able to qualify with a revolver or semi‑automatic. Strong relevant knowledge of the security industry. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must have a customer service‑driven mindset. Ability to communicate effectively and present information to all levels of internal and external customers. Education & Certification Requirements CPR/American Red Cross Certification. High School Diploma/GED. MD Armed Guard Card. Baton. M.E.B. Training. All Required PSO Training and Certifications. O.C. aerosol spray. 16‑hour X‑Ray and Magnetometer training. Basic Training Exhibits 72/64 hours. Firearms Qualification. Initials Weapon Training. DHS Letter of Suitability.
