Accounts Payable Associate

Position: Accounts Payable Associate Location: Chesapeake, Virginia (In-Office) Pay: $24-26 per hour Job Type: Full-Time Map Communications, Inc. is seeking an Accounts Payable Associate to join our team in Chesapeake. This is an in‑office position where you will have a direct impact on our team's financial reporting. You will work closely with our Accounting and management teams. Why Join Map? We offer a competitive hourly wage and comprehensive benefits package: Benefits Offered: Medical, Dental, Vision Term Life, Accident, Critical Illness, Hospital Indemnity, Legal and Identity Theft Paid Time Off 401k with company match ESOP (vesting period applies) What You Will Do: As an Accounts Payable Associate , your duties will include: Receive and evaluate vendor invoices Seek invoice approvals from appropriate responsible parties Ensure vendor invoices are coded to the proper general ledger accounts Enter invoices in the ERP system Pay the invoices weekly Prepare related excel schedules for management Limited filing Special projects as needed Requirements: Qualifications: 1 year experience in Accounts Payable or general office environment preferred Education: College degree a plus, but not required Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel Attention to Detail: A high level of accuracy and a strong numerical aptitude.
