Medical Assistant - Bilingual Spanish

Medical Assistant
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Medical Assistant to join our dedicated healthcare team. In this role, you'll support physicians, nurses, and behavioral health professionals to provide exceptional care in a welcoming, patient-centered environment. Your attention to detail, professionalism, and teamwork will help us deliver on our mission of Service, Dignity, Justice, and Excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist providers with direct patient care, procedures, and clinical workflows.
- Perform patient intake, including vital signs, medical histories, and documentation.
- Prepare exam rooms and ensure patient comfort and safety during visits.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR); experience with Allscripts is highly preferred.
- Uphold infection control and safety standards at all times.
- Maintain a professional appearance in compliance with clinical dress code (scrubs, closed-toe shoes, hair neatly tied back, nails short/clean).
- Participate in quality improvement activities and support a positive, team-oriented work culture.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- At least 1 year of experience in a clinical or healthcare setting preferred.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
- Familiarity with EHR systems (Allscripts a plus).
Schedule & Compensation:
- Full-time: 40 hours/week, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
- Wednesday 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM / Occasional Saturdays 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM in exchange for a weekday shift.
- Pay: $21 – $23/hour, depending on experience.
