Citation Quality Control Inspector - 1360

We are seeking a Citation Quality Control Inspector at West Star Aviation to support our aircraft maintenance operations in East Alton, IL. This full time, on site position offers competitive hourly pay and a comprehensive benefits package. Key Responsibilities Maintain West Star Aviation’s quality standards by inspecting technician work, performing “ok to close,” and auditing. Ensure proper sign‑offs in Corridor as part of the inspection process. Participate in daily review meetings. Assist with airframe inspections. Follow up with all departments to get steps signed off, inspected, and closed so airframe squawks can be completed. Help manage Equipment Removal and Installation Log. Assist QA Department with log research issues to help clear items that are in question. Daily contact at aircraft with Team Leaders to ensure quality standards are met. Maintain customer‑oriented work habits. Effectively and clearly communicate in English (speak, write, read). Perform any other job‑related duties as assigned by supervisor or management. Education & Credentials A High School diploma or equivalent. An A&P license or repairman certificate is required. An Inspection Authorization (IA) rating is recommended. A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel or a valid passport is ideal but not required. Experience & Skills Familiarity with all facets of aircraft maintenance manuals. Thorough knowledge of FAA regulations. Three years of turbine aircraft inspection experience with return‑to‑service authority. Customer service experience is recommended. Ability to follow all company rules and FAA regulations during performance of duties. Personal Qualities & Initiative Team player, self‑motivated, able to perform in a fast‑paced environment with specific deadlines and time constraints. Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy, and strong written and verbal communication skills. Physical & Mental Requirements Lift and carry at least 25 lbs. Bend, reach, and stoop when around aircraft. Sit at desk and/or computer for extended intervals. Routine walking. Prioritize and control workload. Work with others professionally. Interpret and communicate regulations with Quality Department personnel. Working Conditions & Environment Most work is performed in a hangar environment, which can include hot and cold temperatures. Occasional work outside hangars may occur. Equipment Used Computer systems including Corridor Aviation Service software, personal computers running Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and related programs. Compensation & Benefits Hourly rate ranges between $32–$48, with shift differentials for alternate shifts.
