Accounts Recivable Specialist

responsibilities:

• Apply customer ACH, check, wire, and credit card payments accurately in the ERP system.
• Research unapplied cash, deductions, short payments, pricing errors, and freight claims.
• Review AR aging schedules, contact past-due accounts, and resolve payment disputes.
• Issue approved credit memos, process balance adjustments, and maintain full audit trails.
• Partner cross-functionally with Sales and Customer Service to resolve billing issues.
• Reconcile customer accounts and the AR subledger to the general ledger during month-end close.
• Adhere to accounting policies, maintain documentation, and support internal/external audits.

 
qualifications:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred or equivalent experience prefered
• 2+ years of accounts receivable, cash application, or collections experience.
• Hands-on experience working within an ERP system.
• Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Strong natural curiosity, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
