Solution Architect - Storage Migration / Data Migration

Job Description: Who are we looking for? A senior level Backup & Storage Architect having 12-15+ years of experience working as technical architect and go to person for accounts team in reputed company. The Individual should be passionate about technology and would have worked as Architect to end client for short- and long-term Backup & Storage transformational projects. Technical Skills: 12-15 years of experience in designing, architecting, and consolidating backup and storage solutions across multiple data centers. Expertise in backup and storage technologies such as Commvault, VEEAM, Rubrik, 3PAR, NetApp, EMC Data Domain, and AWS. Proven experience in leading large-scale backup and storage consolidation projects, migrating from diverse platforms to a unified solution. Strong background in consolidating backup infrastructures to Commvault in a new Colo, ensuring seamless transition and minimal disruption. Deep expertise in storage migration, moving from multiple storage platforms to a single, unified storage solution, ensuring high availability and scalability. Extensive experience in disaster recovery and backup strategy development, including data retention, archival, and recovery policies. Proficient in designing and implementing hybrid cloud backup architectures and ensuring efficient integration with on-premises systems. Leads the planning, execution, and optimization of backup migration projects, ensuring smooth data transition to Commvault and new storage environments. Skilled in analyzing existing backup and storage environments, identifying inefficiencies, and developing strategies for optimization and cost reduction. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to align backup and storage solutions with enterprise-wide IT and business continuity strategies. Strong experience in capacity planning for backup infrastructure and storage systems, ensuring future scalability and performance. Develops and enforces best practices, policies, and governance for backup and storage, ensuring compliance with regulatory and industry standards. Provides mentorship to junior and senior engineers, leading them in the execution of complex consolidation and migration tasks. Expert in troubleshooting and resolving complex issues in backup and storage environments during migration and consolidation. Ensures successful backup and storage migrations with minimal downtime, meeting all service level agreements (SLAs) for RTO and RPO. Works closely with leadership to ensure that backup and storage solutions meet business requirements, security standards, and budget constraints. Process Skills: Help team with critical technical know how Strong knowledge on ITIL and worked on incident/change/problem on regular basis. Strong in Technical Documentation and design process and standards Behavioral Skills : Must have superior problem-solving skills with extremely high levels of initiative and assertiveness. Effectively collaborate with stakeholders, Customers and Partners in a Service Delivery environment Able to thrive in rapid environment and adopt new technology Fastly. Participate in business meetings with various stake holders Identify the Gaps and provide documentation / suggestion faced during Execution. Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferably in Computer Science or Information Systems and /or equivalent formal training or work experience. 12-15+ years of relevant experience in Backup & Storage management systems.
