Posting Details Job Title: Assistant Track and Field Coach Division: Office of the President Department: Athletics Department Work Status: Full Time Position Category: Staff FLSA: Exempt Salary Range: $50,000 - $53,000 / year Fund Source: State Support Job Summary Responsible for assisting the Head Coach with coaching all aspectsof the Throwing events (shot put, discus, hammer, javelin andweight throw) for the track and field programs. Responsible fordaily workouts and scheduling. Assist with Recruiting Potentialstudent-athletes. Job Duties Assist the Head Coach with all aspects of the ThrowingEvents Responsible for completing daily workouts and scheduling Assist with recruiting, evaluation and retention of qualifiedstudent-athletes Completes administrative tasks, maintain student athletesstatistics Assist with driving students to and from meets and forrecruiting Assists with team equipment; academic monitoring;logistics Provide regular feedback on student-athletes progress Assist with Home Meets Requested Minimum Qualifications Education: The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in anydiscipline from an accredited college or university. Experience: At least 1 year of coaching experience with throwing events orcompetitive experience as a collegiate athlete is required. Other Preferences for Consideration Preferences: A Master’s Degree is preferred. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Ability to lift and move equipment. Analyze Technique on Training and Meet videos. Exhibit strong leadership and communication skills. completes administrative tasks; responsible for maintainingacademic integrity.
