AKHIRE is currently recruiting for the following position: Forklift Operator / Warehouse Associate Location - Fairbanks, AK Full-time Shift: Two shift available 8 AM - 5:00 PMMonday - Fridayor 5am - 4:30 PM M-F Pay $22 per hour DOE plus overtime Summary: Warehouse Associate Warehouse Associate position spends most of the day using a forklift to offload product, and organize the outside yard to be loading on the outgoing trucks. Key Responsibilities: Warehouse Associate
- Load and unload vehicles such as trucks, vans, flat beds trucks, box trucks or tractor-trailers.
- Mark incoming freight appropriately.
- Move freight around yard and warehouse using a forklift or other moving equipment.
- Complete freight paperwork accurately and timely.
- Ensure that freight is loaded, unloaded, palatalized and marked appropriately.
- Assist customers as necessary.
- Consistently follow all safety procedures and attend safety meetings.
- Forklift Certification preferred but not required
- Must be able to push or pull heavy loads (up to 200 pounds)
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds
- Must be able to operate all equipment in a warehouse which may include grasping, climbing, bending, handling, reaching, hand dexterity, feeling/touching and repetitive motions of the hands and feet
- Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time
- Comfortable working outdoors for the majority of the day.
