CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Availability: Twenty-four (24) hour responsibility, on-call and call-back may be required. Certifications: Additional certifications may be required depending on the needs of the department. Minimum Requirements Critical Care RN Trainee Experience: One (1) year full-time equivalent experience as a licensed registered nurse. Licenses and Certifications: Must possess and maintain Registered Nurse licensure with the State of California Board of Registered Nursing. Must possess and maintain current Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Critical Care RN Experience: One (1) year full-time equivalent experience as a licensed registered nurse. Licenses and Certifications: Must possess and maintain Registered Nurse licensure with the State of California Board of Registered Nursing. Must possess and maintain current Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Critical Care RNs (Journey Level) must also possess and maintain the following unit specific certifications/courses required to work in the Emergency Department: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) NIH Stroke Scale Certification PALS Certification issued by the American Heart Association Basic Arrhythmia Class Within 6 months of hire: Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification issued by ARMC Critical Care Course OR Critical Care RN Certification OR Certified Emergency Nurse Certification Desired Qualifications Candidates possessing a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and experience and certifications in an Emergency Department is desired.
