Overview The Rohrer College of Business is hiring a Temporary Part Time Hourly Career Development Associate to support business students in navigating evolving career landscapes. This role involves providing career coaching, facilitating workshops, and collaborating with faculty and employer partners to prepare students for the dynamic impact of AI and technology on business careers. Responsibilities Provide individualized career coaching and guidance on resumes, cover letters, LinkedIn, and interview preparation to undergraduate and graduate business students. Design and facilitate in-person and virtual workshops focused on career readiness and emerging workforce trends, including AI and digital branding. Develop and update career resources aligned with current business industry trends and recruiting practices. Collaborate with career services, employer engagement teams, faculty, and campus partners to integrate career readiness into academic programs. Stay informed on recruiting technologies such as applicant tracking systems and AI resume screening tools to enhance coaching methods. Represent the Center for Professional Development at campus events, occasionally requiring evening availability. Qualifications Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of relevant experience in career development, advising, or related fields; a master's degree is preferred. Proficiency with career services platforms (e.g., Handshake, Symplicity), virtual communication tools (Zoom, WebEx, Microsoft Teams), and familiarity with email marketing and social media strategies. Preferred experience includes using higher education systems like Banner and knowledge of career assessment tools such as Focus2 or MBTI.
