We are searching for an Account Manager for our sister company, RPM Industries in Washington, PAPosition Summary

The Account Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining strong customer relationships while driving sales growth for fluid management products, systems, and services. This role serves as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, working closely with customers to understand operational needs, identify opportunities for process improvement, and provide solutions that optimize fluid handling, transfer, filtration, dispensing, storage, and management systems.

The Account Manager collaborates with engineering, accounting, customer service and operations to deliver exceptional customer support and ensure successful implementation of solutions across industries such as manufacturing, automotive, food and beverage, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, oil and gas, and industrial processing. Success in this position is measured through revenue growth, customer retention, profitability, and the ability to expand strategic partnerships.

Key ResponsibilitiesAccount Management

• Manage and grow a portfolio of existing customer accounts while identifying new business opportunities. 
• Develop a deep understanding of customer operations, fluid management challenges, and performance objectives. 
• Present and recommend fluid management solutions that improve efficiency, safety, compliance, and productivity. 
• Prepare and deliver sales proposals, quotations, and contract negotiations. 
• Build long-term relationships with key decision-makers, engineers, maintenance teams, and procurement professionals. 
• Coordinate with technical and service teams to ensure successful installation, training, and support. 
• Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and industry developments. 
• Maintain accurate sales forecasts, account plans, and CRM records. 
• Achieve and exceed sales, margin, and customer satisfaction targets.

Product & Technical Support

• Develop a working knowledge of lubrication systems, fluid handling equipment, filtration technologies, fluid dispensing solutions, and maintenance best practices.
• Assist customers in selecting appropriate products and solutions for their operational needs.
• Communicate technical product information clearly and effectively.
• Stay informed on industry trends, competitive products, and emerging maintenance technologies.

Administrative Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reports.
• Process sales orders and coordinate with operations and logistics teams.
• Document customer interactions and sales activities in CRM software.
• Participate in sales meetings, training programs, and product education sessions.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2+ years of inside sales, business development, customer service, or industrial sales experience.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to understand technical products and communicate value-based solutions.
• Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience selling industrial equipment, maintenance products, lubrication solutions, fluid handling systems, filtration equipment, or MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) products.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs and industrial operations.
• Experience with manufacturing, fleet maintenance, heavy equipment, energy, or processing industries.
• Familiarity with consultative selling methodologies.
