Regional Sales Manager 1We are seeking a full-time Regional Sales Manager 1 in the San Antonio area. In this role, you will be responsible for being a highly motivated sales professional responsible for developing new retail sales and cultivating and expanding relationships with Garmin specialty dealers which includes but is not limited to the fitness and outdoor market segments. The assigned territory of this role includes Austin, San Antonio and west Texas.Essential Functions:Develop and execute strategies to increase market share and profitsEstablish and execute sales plans and sales promotionsResponsible for attaining sales targetsEnsure all accounts receive timely and impactful sales callsDevelop and grow new and underperforming market segmentsExecute the use of POPs and displays with consistency to drive brand awareness and customer conversionLeverage product knowledge to create sales strategies that highlight product value for potential dealersDevelop, maintain and share Garmin product knowledge with dealersDeliver training seminars to dealer network, and coordinate associated training activitiesCreate and give sales presentations to prospects and existing accountsPrepare and maintain monthly sales forecastsCommunicate market needs and trends to leadershipAttend and coordinate trade showsTravel with little or no supervisionBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree AND a minimum of 1 year of experience in sales and marketing (including outside sales, retail sales, sales into a retail environment, or similar) with a proven track record in meeting sales targets OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant experienceMust demonstrate a proven track record of sales successesDemonstrates a service-oriented, customer focus with proven experience in relationship building and providing quality customer service experiencesExceptional communication oral/written and interpersonal relationship skillsAbility to prioritize and multi-task in a flexible, fast paced and challenging environmentSuperior organizational and analytical skills with keen attention to detail and qualityMust be an articulate and fluent communicator, written and verbal, and at ease with public speakingMust possess the ability to maintain flexibility to travel (50%-75% of time or greater), including the ability to work weekend events/ tradeshowsDesired Qualifications:Internal Garmin Sales team experienceSales experience in recreation, outdoor, and/or fitness marketplacePersonal experience in Garmin's core market segments including marine, outdoor, fitness, and/or golf & cyclingExcellent product knowledge of communication and navigation systemsDemonstrates a proficient fundamental understanding of the sales division's products and segment's industry which could include marine, outdoor, running, golf, and/or cycling retail industryGarmin International is an equal opportunity employer.
