Locum NP (Nurse Practitioner) Neonatology

Description This contract position is on-site, offering you the opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of newborns and their families within a dynamic medical practice environment. As a Locum NP in Neonatology, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to critically ill neonates. You will work collaboratively with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes and support various initiatives aimed at enhancing neonatal care. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive care to neonates in a clinical setting Perform physical examinations and assess the health status of patients Diagnose and manage acute and chronic neonatal conditions Collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals Educate families about neonatal health and provide support Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records Participate in quality improvement initiatives Stay current on best practices and advancements in Neonatology Requirements Associate degree in Nursing; Bachelor's degree preferred Current NP license for the state of Indiana Experience in Neonatology or related field is preferred Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities o puly Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Commitment to ongoing education and professional development Additional Information Schedule: 24-hour in-house shifts, 7a-7a Level II NICU, 16 beds Duties: Rounding, attending deliveries Procedures: Intubations, umbilicals, PICC lines, thoracentesis, chests, etc. Support Staff: MD during the day EMR: Epic Must be able to work independently Board certification required Paid travel & lodging #J-18808-Ljbffr 77 consultants
