About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 26 Weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 Years License: Active RN License Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: EPIC Charting Experience Description: Position: RN - PCU/MS Float. Must be comfortable working in various units. Contract Length and Shift Details: 3x12s, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM. Floating may occur based on staffing needs, re-evaluated every 4 hours. Weekend Requirement: May work every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block. Holiday Requirement: Must work one holiday per contract of 13 weeks. First-time travelers are accepted. Local candidates are accepted as well. Only active licenses from non-compact states are accepted if the candidate holds a single-state license. Background includes telemetry and stepdown-level care experience. Experience should include IV therapy, phlebotomy, and blood product administration. Skills in central line care, trach management, and various airway support are essential. Proficiency in cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation is needed. Ability to manage PCA and heparin protocols is required. Expectations to administer IV insulin and handle endocrine/metabolic conditions. Unit average ratios: 5:1 for PCU and 6:1 for MS, with potential flexing. Must be able to work without CNA support. Participation in Rapid Response and Code teams is necessary. Preferred experience includes pre/post cardiac catheterization. Travelers must comply with health and immunization requirements. Travelers are subject to call-off policies as allowed. Additional interdisciplinary support is available for patient care. Candidates should exhibit strong critical thinking and clinical skills.
