Senior Systems Administrator

Responsibilities Support the National Programs Intelligence Systems & Application Operating Unit. Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers, virtual servers, and application software upgrades. Perform Operations and Maintenance tasks, maintain operational baselines, and support application O&M activities. Monitor and optimize system performance, including CPU, memory, disk usage, and response times. Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving system and database issues. Requirements BA/BS degree with 5+ years of relevant experience; or Masters degree with 3+ years of experience. Proven experience in system administration, specifically with Linux, including RHEL and Ubuntu, and UNIX in classified environments. Some Windows server administration experience would be good to have. Hands‑on experience with Oracle Database installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Experience managing both virtual and physical servers. Experience performing system monitoring. Experience with backup management. Experience implementing performance optimizations. Currently valid DoD 8570 certification such as Security+ CE, CASP, CISSP, or similar security certification. Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in Linux system administration, including RHEL and Ubuntu, with a focus on performance optimization and troubleshooting in classified environments. Proficient in managing both virtual and physical servers, along with Oracle Database maintenance and backup management. #J-18808-Ljbffr Jobtailor
