Summary The Supervisor – Quality Control leads an Event Tech warehouse team responsible for maintenance of required equipment for flawless execution of events. This role will be the driving force for operational excellence and adjudicating sound fiscal decisions to maximize profits and provide technical excellence of rental equipment. The position requires strong people leadership, communication, and technical skills, and follows an in‑person schedule working full‑time in‑office and/or show‑site based out of McCook, IL. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Directly supervise a small team of full‑time, part‑time, and contingent quality control and service staff, including management of scheduling, payroll, performance appraisals, safety policies, expense reports, customer service, and operational policies. Supervise readiness of rental equipment to ensure cosmetic and functional excellence. Supervise the intake of equipment and prioritize staging of outbound equipment. Supervise stocking and replenishment of repair parts, accessories and ancillaries required to return equipment to a rentable state. Form, vet and accelerate innovations in QC tooling, practices and execution. Partner with cross‑divisional teams to support recruiting, training/development, and staffing of warehouse staff. Ensure sound safety and risk policies and procedures within assigned areas. Drive operational excellence through oversight and reporting of KPIs, regular quality audits and other measures. Provide recommendations on capital expenditure and planning. Promote teamwork and communication between all warehouse operations. Assist other departments as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent with relevant work experience required. Minimum 3 years of related experience within event production and/or warehouse operations. Must be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills. Must demonstrate strong leadership skills and strategic thinking. Proven ability to lead with vision, strategic thinking and hands‑on experience. Ability to influence and inspire action with a focus on driving business results. Must be an innovative problem solver with the ability to deal quickly and effectively with issues. Demonstrated experience in working with cross‑functional teams and large programs. Must have a high level of intelligence, independent reasoning, excellent analytical skills and judgment with strong business acumen. Strong analytical, organizational, collaborative, and critical thinking skills required. Must be comfortable independently evaluating a situation, exercising judgment, and independently making decisions. Meticulous attention to detail and superior organizational creativity. Must have experience juggling multiple clients with competing demands. Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation and presentation skills. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from employees, customers, or regulatory agencies. Ability to relate and conduct theoretical discussions as applicable to specific technical topics. Proven ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with customers at all levels. Proven ability to communicate a technical message to a non‑technical audience. Proven ability to adapt while managing multiple competing priorities. Eligible for an annual bonus of up to 5% of the base salary.
