Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse | Full Time

Overview Position at Singing River Pascagoula Hospital. Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:30AM–3:00PM, rotating call with weekends and holidays. Location: Singing River Pascagoula Hospital. The registered nurse is a professional nurse who is educated in the art and science of nursing, with the goal of assisting patients to attain, maintain, and restore health. Competency is determined by demonstrated possession of the knowledge, attitudes, and skills required for this position. The registered nurse provides patient care utilizing the Nursing Process within the State Licensed Nurse (SLN) practice act, ANA Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice, ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses, and CDC Guidelines for Infection Control. Expectation is that all performed duties will be in accordance with Singing River Health System procedures and policies, accreditation organization, and governing guidance and publications for health care employees. Responsibilities Provide nursing care to patients, following the Nursing Process, institutional protocols, and evidence‑based practices. Qualifications Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing program. License: Current unrestricted Mississippi State licensure as a Registered Nurse. Certifications: Must complete and maintain BCLS upon hire and/or transfer and maintain ACLS certification. Experience: Appropriate nursing practice/experience within the past five (5) years or evidence of a successful refresher program. Reports to: Director of Cardiovascular Services under direct supervision of the Cardiac Cath Lab Team Leader. Supervises: LPNs, Nurse Assistants, Nurse Techs, Unit Coordinators. Physical Demands Work is moderately active: requires frequent movement around the office and facility; travel to another facility within the SRHS service area. Exerts negligible force to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects, including patients. Exposes to body fluids, sputum, and tissues that may carry infectious hazards. Uses repetitive wrist and hand motions in operating computer equipment. Requires visual acuity and adjustment to shifting focus. Must be active for extended periods without undue fatigue. Must accommodate schedule changes due to hospital needs for off‑days, shifts, or weekends. Mental Demands Demonstrate keen mental faculties, assessment, and decision‑making abilities. Superior communication skills (speaking, writing, and phone). Emotional stability for high‑stress levels. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
