Located on 11th Avenue between West 34th Street and West 40th Street, the iconic structure has played a prominent role in New York’s recovery and resurgence, and with a state-of-the-art expansion project recently completed, the venue features more than 850,000 square feet of total exhibition space, two new floors of meeting room space, a rooftop pavilion and terrace, as well as a range of catering, sustainability, and technology services. Position Summary: The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for processing and maintaining system records for all receivable transactions at Javits Center. This role manages the complete accounts receivable cycle, including customer invoicing, payment collection and application, deposit processing, and related documentation. The position plays a key role in ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with established financial policies and procedures, while supporting reporting, reconciliation, and audit efforts. The hiring range for this position is $30.00–$32.00 per hour. The rate of pay offered will depend upon the candidate’s relevant skills and experience. Interested candidates must be willing to work full-time onsite at the Javits Center. Essential Functions Prepare and issue customer invoices, including deposit invoices where applicable. Contact and follow up with past-due customers in accordance with current collection policy and document collection activities in the NetSuite ERP system. Prepare cash receipts for deposit, scan, and process remote electronic bank deposits; communicate to appropriate groups. Process customer payments, including checks, credit cards, and electronic transfers, ensuring accurate application within the NetSuite ERP system. Maintain a record of customer disputes and their status. Review and validate customer disputes with the responsible service department; secure required approvals and process refunds or credit memos in the ERP, documenting final resolution. Research, prepare, and record credit memo requests in the ERP system, as needed. Support reporting activities, including accounts receivable reconciliations, audit requests, and banking-related inquiries. Respond to and resolve chargebacks in coordination with internal teams. Required Qualifications At least three years of related experience. Experience using the NetSuite ERP system required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
