Security Systems Engineer - Cybersecurity Focus

Salary: $80,500 - 149,500 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent experience
• A minimum of 4 years in developing embedded software-based engineering solutions
• Graduate Degree with a minimum of 2 years of related experience, preferable
• In lieu of a degree, at least 8 years of relevant experience
• Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance or eligibility to obtain one
• Strong experience in security requirements analysis and specification creation
• Familiarity with emerging security standards and evolution of NSA certification processes
• Solid understanding of DoD Configuration Management processes and managing Engineering Change Proposals (ECP)
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Preference for experience in radio communications or networking
• Knowledgeable about configuration management tools

• Engage in Information Assurance (IA) related architecture development and CONOPS formulation
• Conduct trade studies and requirements analysis, ensuring proper flow down to hardware/software configurations
• Validate and verify requirements for security compliance, including NSA and DoD standards
• Prepare and manage NSA security certification documentation, including System Evaluation Documents and test plans
• Allocate and analyze system security requirements per NIST FIPS standards
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to ensure compliance with security specifications
• Exhibit self-motivation and capability to operate with minimal supervision in diverse environments
• Plan, execute, and monitor personal task assignments effectively
