Serenity Light Recovery Center at Sierra Health and Wellness uses evidence-based methods to restore families, relationships, and self-worth for individuals who have struggled with substance abuse and mental health issues. Positions Available Full‑time: 12‑shift AM or NOC PRN: 12‑shift AM or NOC Duties and Responsibilities The registered nurse will enhance patient care within the nursing department, support colleagues, and monitor medication regimes. Key responsibilities include: Oversee the day‑to‑day delivery of patient care by licensed and non‑licensed staff. Monitor and assess patients for withdrawal symptoms using tools such as CIWA and COWS, and respond appropriately. Prepare, review, and maintain medical records, nursing notes, and medication logs to meet physician and state health code requirements. Provide nursing care according to physician orders, care plans, and established standards, policies, and procedures. Prepare and administer medications in accordance with nursing standards and facility policies. Sign, date, and perform all charting, record keeping, and care plans in accordance with established policies. Provide individualized resident care and ensure medication orders are accurate and up‑to‑date. Ensure compliance with all medical/nursing regulations for THHS and the Joint Commission. Audit charts weekly for compliance and oversee LVN staff on duty. Education Requirements Current Registered Nursing (RN) License in Texas. Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred). Job Requirements Excellent communication and counseling skills. Basic computer skills. Valid driver’s license. Ability to coordinate with professionals from diverse backgrounds. Commitment to the philosophy of recovery and client respect. Customer‑service oriented, professional attitude.
