OFFICE OF THE SUPERINTENDENT 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR OPEN POSITIONS Job Title: Substitute Sign Language Interpreters Reports To: BuildingPrincipal/ Supervisor, or other administrator if needed Effective date: 9/1/2026 Salary Range: $ 140.00 per diem (pending negotiations) Link to current contract and salary guides: Health Benefits: None provided Other coverage: None provided Position Summary: The above substitute Educational interpreters' positions are available for the 2026-2027 school year. Qualifications:
Technology Skills: Ability to be proficient in computer applications pertinent to support the position, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Google Suite, Frontline Applications, and Student Information System. Evaluation of Performance: Performance of this position will be evaluated annually in accordance with the New Jersey Administrative Code and Board of Education policy. Terms of Employment: Per diem pay New Jersey First Act : New Jersey First Act, N.J.S.A. 52:14-7 (L. 2011, Chapter 70), requires employees of all school boards to reside in the State of New Jersey unless otherwise exempted under the law. - Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) certification required
- Fingerprinting is required for criminal history background clearance
- Required physical and drug test offered free of charge
