Job Overview

Working closely with the perioperative registered nurse, the surgical technician will be an integral part of the team, responsible for organizing and delivering tailored, age-appropriate care to patients. This role involves maintaining a safe environment that promotes positive patient outcomes and ensuring that patients' physiological responses during surgery align with expectations within the surgical suite and the broader perioperative division.

Qualifications

Required:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a Surgical Technician training program
• 2 to 3 years of relevant experience
• Strong proficiency in scrubbing for various service lines, including robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases, and trauma
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to make calls, demonstrate flexibility, multitask, and work independently

Certifications and Licenses Required

• Certified Surgical Technician (NBSTSA) certification is mandatory
• Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification from the American Heart Association is required

Scheduling Requirements

• 7:00 am - 3:00 pm
• Every other weekend and holiday
• Full-time position
