Maintenance Mechanic - 2nd Shift (Refrigeration)

We’re looking for a Maintenance Mechanic to support our production lines with strong skills in general maintenance, hydraulic, electrical, and welding. Compensation & Benefits Hourly Maintenance Competitive Starting Pay: $30.77-$40.05/hr Shift Differential 2nd Shift: $1.00/hr Comprehensive Health Insurance, Retirement Benefits, Education Benefits (for full- and part-time employees), and other benefits. Relocation Assistance available upon request. Core Responsibilities Complete all assigned daily preventive maintenance (PM) tasks. Ensure production lines remain in good mechanical order. Assist other teams such as Production and Quality as needed. Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and safety procedures (LOCKOUT/TAGOUT, GMPs). Set up, visually inspect, and test machinery and equipment. Listen for unusual sounds on machines to detect malfunction, and discuss variations with supervisors. Dismantle defective machines and install new or repaired parts. Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts. Repair and maintain the physical structure of the establishment. Follow ISO 14001 environmental procedures. Perform other duties as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of related experience, or 4 years of direct experience in industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing. Vocational, technical, or associate degree in maintenance (preferred). Strong teamwork and communication skills, able to interact with all levels. Ability to operate forklift, genie lift, scissor lift, or other powered industrial trucks. Ability to read and execute work orders, write daily reports, and interpret equipment manuals. Desire to comply with safety and GMPs. Work Environment & Physical Demands Work involves wet or humid conditions, extreme cold and heat, exposure to fumes and chemicals, moderate to loud noise, and electrical and mechanical hazards. Tasks include lifting up to 75 lbs occasionally, and regularly handling loads up to 50 lbs with a buddy system or lifting devices.
