1st Shift Mill Cnc Machinist

|Job Title: 1st Shift OR 2nd Shift | CNC Horizontal Mill Machinist | Canton | $25-$35/hr

Job Description

As a CNC Horizontal Mill Machinist, you will be an integral part of our manufacturing team, working from 6 AM to 2:30 PM in a job shop environment located in Canton, OH. You will operate CNC machines on various metals, maintaining tight tolerances and ensuring the production of high-quality parts. This role involves running programs, performing machine set-ups, tear downs, changeovers, and tool changes, as well as operating Mazaks and other machine brands. Daily tasks include using GD&T and reading blueprints to meet part specifications, troubleshooting machine errors, and maintaining machine upkeep.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines on various metals maintaining tight tolerances.

• Run programs and perform machine set-ups, tear downs, changeovers, and tool changes.

• Operate Mazaks and other machine brands.

• Use GD&T and read blueprints daily to meet part specifications.

• Troubleshoot machine errors and maintain machine upkeep.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of experience operating, setting up, and programming CNCs in a job shop environment.

• Experience with Mazak CNC lathes.

• Programming capabilities at the machine.

• Set up and tear down experience, possibly multiple times per shift.

• Experience working with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance) with tight tolerances.

• Proficiency in G & M Code (Machine Control Language).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Mazak machines using Mazatrol systems.

• Conversational skills in Machine Control Language.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $58240.00/yr.
