Associate Director, Program Supply Chain

AbbVie seeks an Associate Director to lead end-to-end establishment and management of external clinical drug product manufacturing partnerships. The role directs a team of 5–7 professionals managing third-party manufacturer relationships, project execution, and supplier performance across the pharmaceutical development portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Lead establishment and onboarding of new third-party manufacturing partners
- Serve as primary operational relationship lead for assigned external manufacturers
- Direct cross-functional project teams supporting external manufacturing activities
- Manage supplier performance, governance representation, and continuous improvement
- Lead team of 5–7 project and supplier management professionals; develop talent and organizational capability
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years pharmaceutical, device engineering, or operations experience
- 6+ years program management experience
- Project risk management expertise
- Cross-functional collaboration and leadership capability
- Strategic thinking and creative problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to communicate and execute with minimal direction
