Operators will provide professional telephone services by answering incoming calls, routing calls to appropriate departments, and assisting callers with general information.This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.Key Responsibilities include:Answer incoming telephone calls in a timely and professional mannerRoute calls to the appropriate hospital departments or personnelProvide general information to callers regarding hospital services and locationsAssist with paging and emergency communications when requiredMaintain accurate communication logs and recordsRespond calmly and effectively during high call volume periodsProvide courteous and helpful assistance to patients, visitors, and hospital staffFollow established communication procedures and privacy guidelinesRequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredPrevious experience in customer service, call center operations, or telecommunications preferredStrong verbal communication skills and clear speaking voiceAbility to handle multiple calls and prioritize tasks efficientlyAbility to remain calm and professional during busy or stressful situationsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsBasic computer skillsAbility to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidaysAbility to complete required training and comply with facility policies
