Progressive Cardiac Unit Full Time Day Shift 7am-330pm Lexington Health is a comprehensive network of care that includes six community medical and urgent care centers, nearly 80 physician practices, more than 9,000 health care professionals and Lexington Medical Center, a 607-bed teaching hospital in West Columbia, South Carolina. Job Summary The Nurse Manager is responsible for the operational functions the nursing unit(s) he/she oversees. All responsibilities are carried out in accordance with the mission, vision, strategic imperatives and standards of the LCHD, American Nurses Association Standards, and in accordance with the provisions set forth by the SC Nurse Practice Act.
Minimum Qualifications Minimum Education: Bachelors of Science in Nursing Minimum Years of Experience: 3 Years of Experience as an RN (At least 2 Years Should be in a Leadership Position/Capacity) Substitutable Education & Experience (Optional): None. Required Certifications/Licensure: Current RN License to Practice in the State of South Carolina; National Nursing Certification in Specialty at Time of Hire (or must be required within 6 months of Hire/Promotion); Maintains Current CPR certification. Required Training: None.

Efficient and timely communication of information to staff, peers and other leader Duties & Responsibilities Leads with integrity, determination, initiative, and purpose, encouraging others to act with passion and drive: Identifies, recruits and retains top talent. Promotes a positive work environment, embraces diversity and supports shared governance structures and processes. Meets all requirements as defined by Lexington Medical Center's policies. Completes yearly safety training and other mandatory classes. Completes employee health workup. Meets departmental attendance requirements. Ensure Hazardous Waste or Hazardous Waste Pharmaceuticals are discarded, stored, and managed with other compatible waste streams in containers that are properly labeled and closed prior to being shipped offsite for proper disposal. Initial RCRA training is received within 6 months of the hire date and continuing with annual RCRA training. Performs all other duties as assigned.
