Group Manager - Planning & Entitlements Raleigh, NC - On-site A well-established multidisciplinary consultancy in the Carolinas is looking to bring on an experienced planning and design professional to lead a growing team in the Raleigh area. This role focuses heavily on large-scale master planning, zoning strategy, and land entitlement, with responsibility for both project delivery and team leadership. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of technical oversight, client engagement, and team development, and is motivated to help shape and expand a high-performing department. The Role You’ll take ownership of a planning and landscape architecture team, overseeing day-to-day operations while guiding longer-term growth. The position blends leadership, project management, and business development, with regular involvement in public-facing presentations and stakeholder coordination. Key Responsibilities Lead and mentor a team focused on planning and design projects Oversee master planning efforts, zoning/rezoning processes, and entitlement strategies Manage client relationships and support business development initiatives Prepare proposals, contracts, and oversee financial performance of projects Represent projects in public meetings, hearings, and community engagement settings Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver complex developments Support recruitment, training, and development of junior staff Contribute to marketing efforts and maintain a strong industry presence What They’re Looking For Background in landscape architecture, planning, or a related discipline Professional licensure (e.g., Landscape Architect, Planner, or Engineer) Several years of experience within land development, planning, or design Strong understanding of entitlement processes and local development regulations Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment Confident communicator with experience presenting to public boards or stakeholders Proficiency in industry-standard design and documentation tools Demonstrated leadership, financial oversight, and business development capability #J-18808-Ljbffr Energy Jobline ZR
