Case Manager Lead

Morgan & Morgan is a leading personal injury law firm dedicated to protecting the people, not the powerful. The Case Manager Lead plays a pivotal role overseeing a team of 5 case managers while managing approximately 50 high‑value cases. The role reports directly to the Pre‑Suit Attorney and serves as a strategic partner to Trial Attorneys, ensuring seamless coordination and optimal case management throughout the litigation process. Key Responsibilities Supervise and mentor a team of 5 case managers, providing guidance and support. Conduct regular team meetings, performance evaluations, and training sessions. Proactively manage dashboards to ensure cases progress and are handled appropriately. Oversee a high‑value inventory of approximately 50 cases, ensuring timely and accurate handling from inception to litigation. Implement efficient case‑management strategies to streamline processes and maximize productivity. Prepare comprehensive demands and assemble support for submission to carriers under the direct supervision of an attorney. Monitor case timelines, deadlines, and milestones, taking proactive measures to address potential issues or delays. Serve as liaison between the Case Management team and the Pre‑Suit Attorney, providing regular updates on case statuses, developments, and challenges. Collaborate closely with a Trial Attorney to develop and execute effective case strategies before moving cases to a litigation team. Maintain high standards of quality and compliance across all aspects of case management, ensuring adherence to legal regulations and organizational policies. Conduct periodic audits and reviews of case files to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. Work closely with the Pre‑Suit Attorney and other stakeholders to develop long‑term strategic initiatives and goals for the team. Identify opportunities for process optimization, technology integration, and workflow enhancement to drive operational efficiency. Qualifications Prior experience as a Personal Injury Case Manager. 3‑5 years in a leadership or supervisory role, preferred. At least 2 years of experience in a legal position or as an insurance adjuster, preferred. Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Demonstrated leadership abilities, including coaching, team‑building, and conflict resolution skills. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Strong writing and attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; typing speed of at least 35 wpm. Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $73,000 – $90,000 USD. The position is on‑site. Full‑time employees receive a benefits package that includes medical and dental insurance, 401(k) plan, paid time off, and paid holidays.
