Compensation & Benefits Physical Therapist – Cadillac Outpatient. Eligible for sign‑on bonus up to $10,000. Full time. Compensation: $36.54 per hour – startingandgoingupbasedonexperience. Responsibilities Assume full responsibility for evaluating patient’s need for physical therapy. Plan and execute individual treatment programs in accordance with the State of Michigan licensure and PT scope of practice. Keep treatment skills upgraded through continuing education, evidence‑based research, and program development. Perform job responsibilities in accordance with the program’s strategic objectives and goals to carry out organizational strategic objectives. Provide patient care, treatment, and services within the scope of the license, certification or registration and as required by law and regulation. Evaluate patient condition, establish treatment goals in collaboration with patient and family, and in collaboration with the treatment team. Establish written treatment plan, and administer treatment for each patient according to the stated goals. Delegate responsibilities to physical therapist assistants and rehabilitation technicians as appropriate. Re‑evaluate patient’s status and the effects of treatment, revise the treatment plan as necessary and review revised goals with patient and family as appropriate. Evaluate the patient’s need for medical equipment, order the appropriate equipment, evaluate equipment upon delivery, and instruct patient, family, and health care workers on its use. Participate in planning for patient discharge by considering and communicating with patient, family, community support/services and environmental limitations. Demonstrate competence in relevant software and hardware required to meet job responsibilities. Document patient’s status and progress through initial evaluation, progress notes, and discharge summary according to established internal/external time standards and adherence to reimbursement guidelines. Communicate with others to integrate physical therapy treatment with all aspects of patient care; participate in conferences/discussions as needed and exchange of written records with other interdisciplinary team members. Instruct patient and family in physical therapy procedures as part of providing education, including written instructions as necessary. Attend meetings and in‑services as designated. Follow all hospital policy and procedures, including but not limited to patient confidentiality and infection control. Meet or exceed program productivity expectations. Provide discipline‑specific coverage within the Mary Free Bed system as requested. Adhere to the Mary Free Bed Standards of Behavior when working with patients, coworkers, and members of the community. Support program operations as assigned; participate in orientation and training of new staff. Serve as clinical instructor for physical therapy students, supervise, teach, and evaluate skills of students, and communicate with participating universities regarding skill levels of students. Participate in program development and/or research activities as assigned. Meet or exceed clinical outcome collection standards established by department leadership. Qualifications Graduate of the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE). Licensure is required in every U.S. State and Territory the therapist is practicing. Maintain BLS certification to meet department/program protocol. Possess required knowledge and skills appropriate to the age of the patients served in the assigned department, and demonstrate knowledge of principles of growth and development over the lifespan. Demonstrate ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status and interpret appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements relative to age‑specific needs and provide care needed as described in the department’s policies and procedures.
