Staff Accountant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a well‑established organization to hire a Staff Accountant on a contract basis. This opportunity is ideal for a professional who is ready to build on existing accounting skills in a collaborative environment, with exposure to core accounting functions and nonprofit operations. What You’ll Do Perform bank, account, and general ledger reconciliations Support accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice processing and payment application Assist with month‑end close, including journal entries and account tie‑outs Maintain and update financial records and documentation Investigate and resolve discrepancies and variances Support cash applications and track incoming/outgoing payments Assist with data cleanup and organization of financial records Partner with internal teams to resolve accounting issues Use Excel for reporting, reconciliations, and data analysis What You Bring Experience with account reconciliations and financial recordkeeping Knowledge of AP/AR processes Ability to complete bank reconciliations independently Intermediate Excel skills (formulas, sorting, filtering, reporting) 2+ years of similar accounting experience Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities Nice to Have Nonprofit or mission‑driven organization experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field Experience with Sage, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems Why Apply Opportunity to expand your accounting skillset Collaborative and supportive team environment Exposure to meaningful, mission‑driven work Benefits Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term disability, additional voluntary benefits, an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), commuter benefits, and a 401K plan.
