Pediatric Nurse Practitioner - Hospital Medicine

Our organization is on the lookout for a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner who possesses at least two years of experience in pediatrics, with a preference for those who have worked in Hospital Medicine, Emergency Departments, or Intensive Care Units, to become part of our expanding team.

The Division of Hospital Medicine is recognized as the largest pediatric Hospital Medicine program in the state. We provide thorough and compassionate evaluations, diagnostics, treatments, and inpatient services tailored for children and their families. Our offerings encompass medical assessments, nutritional guidance, laboratory testing, imaging services, and various procedures. Serving a population of 7 million, including 1.5 million children, we are dedicated to delivering exceptional care.

In this Nurse Practitioner role, you will be integral to the care of pediatric patients admitted to our facility. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Admitting patients and conducting daily rounds with the attending physician to manage ongoing care.
• Documenting daily activities in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Communicating with consultants and addressing inquiries from bedside nurses.
• Coordinating patient discharges.

We encourage participation in targeted quality improvement initiatives or research projects. Additionally, contributing to the education of Nurse Practitioner students through affiliated programs is a core value of our organization.

Our clinical team consists of over 60 physicians and 4 Nurse Practitioners. Currently, the Pediatric Hospital Medicine NP position is focused on our Main Campus, with potential coverage of additional sites as our organization expands throughout the Valley. Both daytime and nighttime shifts are available.

Located in the vibrant heart of Phoenix, our main campus is a comprehensive, standalone tertiary medical center with over 480 licensed beds, including 72 for intensive care and 49 for the NICU. As a rapidly growing healthcare system, we are set to expand to 610 licensed beds, adding 60 more NICU beds. Our facility is a teaching hospital committed to shaping the future of pediatric care through residency programs and fellowships, and we invest $10 million each year in clinical research to support these endeavors.
