Project Manager

Project ManagerIFS InfraSource is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our team. This Project Manager plans and oversees projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget. The Project Manager plans and designates project resources, assists in preparing budgets, monitors progress and keeps stakeholders informed the entire way. Typical tasks include project initiation through project closeout, providing upper management with daily/weekly/monthly status reports, forecasting monthly cost and revenue, maintaining a project-specific schedule, and analyzing project budgets and earned value.Assist the foremen, from a developmental standpoint, in the planning and execution of field deliverables according to plans, drawings, schedules, customer specifications and contract requirementsAssist the Superintendents and General Foreman in the planning and execution of projects and contracts by organizing work methods, developing schedules, overseeing the implementation of project procedures, implementing cost controls, and reportingAssist in the management of financial components including identification of potential change orders and the schedule of the project as it relates to safety, and margin expectations.Assist with As-built submissionsDevelop existing and new Foreman focusing specifically on safety, job cost, and revenue captureAssist GF with monitoring the progress of crews to insure satisfactory job completion, keeping construction progress in line with overall project schedule and cost estimateEvaluate yard efficiency and effectivenessEvaluate and communicate proper tool usage leading to reduced repair costsEvaluate and recommend solutions regarding the communication of a decentralized workforceEvaluate and provide recommendations of the flow of information from inception to delivery of items such as but not limited to, payroll, revenue recognition, subcontractor value (getting what we paid for)Elevate visibility into job performance by removing job costs from the yardAll other duties as assignedDecision Making and Problem Solving:Basic understanding of Utility Industry standards and practicesAbility to interpret field conditions and communicate project requirementsAbility to develop and communicate ideas regarding the execution of the projectMinimum Qualifications:Basic understanding of the project life cycleAbility to apply basic project management concepts, and methodologiesProficient in MS Office Applications: MS Word, MS ExcelProficient of financial practices and principlesHigh attention to detail and organizationBasic technical skillsAbility to work independently on assigned tasks with minimum supervisionEducation:AA degree and 2 years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred.Certificates:Desired: Project Management Certificate from an accredited school or Project Management Institute.
