St. Monica School is seeking a full-time PreK Instructional Aide to join our early learning team for the 2026-2027 school year. This position will work closely with the PreK classroom teacher to provide a safe, nurturing, engaging, and faith-filled environment for our youngest learners. Position Responsibilities Support the lead teacher in implementing developmentally appropriate lessons, activities, and routines. Work with individual students and small groups to reinforce academic, social, emotional, and developmental skills. Assist students as they develop independence, self-regulation, responsibility, and positive relationships with peers. Support classroom management and reinforce positive behavior expectations. Supervise students during classroom activities, recess, transitions, lunch, and other school activities. Assist with arrival, dismissal, bathroom routines, handwashing, meals, and other daily care needs as appropriate. Prepare instructional materials and help maintain an organized, clean, welcoming, and safe classroom environment. Work collaboratively with the PreK teacher, specialists, administrators, and other school staff. Support the integration of Catholic faith and values into the daily life of the classroom. Complete other duties related to the PreK program and school operations as assigned. Qualifications Have experience working with young children; experience in a preschool, PreK, childcare, or elementary school setting is preferred. Demonstrate patience, warmth, enthusiasm, and a genuine appreciation for young children. Have strong communication and interpersonal skills. Be dependable, flexible, collaborative, and willing to be an active member of a school team. Support the mission and values of Catholic education and be willing to participate in the faith life of the school. Meet applicable Archdiocese of Seattle and Washington State requirements for employment in an early learning setting.
