Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 12 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year; 1st timers are accepted License: RN License required Certifications: BLS required; ACLS preferred; NIHSS preferred Must-Have: Charge RN experience requested Description: Charge RN experience is requested. Minimum experience of 1 year is required, but first-time travelers are accepted. The patient population includes adults to geriatrics. Skills and knowledge required include isolation precautions, wound care, wound vac management, nasal cannula, high flow nasal cannula, chest tubes, starting IVs, PICC line management, blood product administration, feeding tube care and management. The standard patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:6, with an average daily census of 29. General skills needed include patient diagnoses related to medical-surgical care. Care is provided within a 32-room facility. The charting system utilized is Epic. Travelers may be required to float within the facility as needed. No call requirements are in place for this role. Travelers are expected to work one major holiday during their assignment period, with expectations varying based on the total number of major holidays during the assignment. Full compliance with onboarding requirements is necessary to start on time. Failure to meet compliance deadlines may result in start time delays. All requests for time off must be finalized at the time of submission.
