Staff PhysicianThe Staff Physician provides clinical care to patients, based upon his/her specialty training, through an interdisciplinary and collaborative approach that takes into consideration the psychosocial aspects of both health and disease.Major Duties And ResponsibilitiesMedical CareProvides high quality clinical care in a multidisciplinary environmentMaintains the standard of clinical care, using diagnostic testing appropriately and providing appropriate treatmentUses diagnostic testing appropriately yet cost-effectively, and providing appropriate treatmentSeeks consultation and makes referrals when appropriatePatient FocusEffectively engages patients in their careDemonstrates professionalism and integrity in all aspects of patient careConsiders the psychosocial aspects of both health and diseaseWorkplace Computer And EquipmentMaintains complete and comprehensive documentationCompliance, Policy, And ProcedureShows meaningful progress toward quality improvement goalsSkills And AbilitiesAbility to work with a multidisciplinary clinical teamComputer skills including Microsoft office suite, electronic medical records and practice management systemEducation And/Or ExperienceM.D. or D.O. in a primary care specialty with completion of an accredited residency training programBoard Certified/Board EligibleCompletion of medical degree and an accredited residency programAppropriate Maryland licensure and clinical certification, DEA and Maryland CDS.Interest in and/or experience in community health settingsExperience working in a diverse environmentAbility to work harmoniously with diverse groups of individuals requiredExcellent communication and team skills required.
