Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $20.30 - $21.30 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeWed12:00 AM - 08:00 AMFri02:00 PM - 09:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to an academic location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations and/or concerns according to site protocols. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations, with working environments and conditions varying by assignment. Monitor access points and activity across the location to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or policy violations while supporting daily operations. Assist with directions, general information, and incident documentation, and communicate with campus representatives and/or first responders when needed. Minimum Requirements: A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required. A current CPR certification is preferred. CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
