Pay Rate: $35.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Fri 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM How This Role Works: Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities: Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a cultural institution location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts, emergency services, and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout interior spaces, exterior grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity and help support security‑related policies. Monitor entrances, screen authorized access, and verify credentials, deliveries, and/or visitor information in alignment with site procedures and cultural institution protocols. Support opening, closing, and special event activities by maintaining a visible presence, assisting with crowd flow, and reporting maintenance, life emergency, and/or security‑related concerns promptly. Minimum Requirements: Possess an armed guard card and/or license. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry‑specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
