Director of Recruitment

The Director of Recruitment is a strategic leadership position responsible for developing, implementing, and managing TSU’s comprehensive student recruitment program. This position provides end-to-end ownership of the University’s enrollment recruitment strategy — from prospective-student identification through enrollment deposit — and serves as the Division’s primary architect of territory management, lead-funnel conversion, dual-credit pipeline development, and transfer-student recruitment. The Director directly supervises the Admission Counselors and is responsible for their day-to-day direction, professional development, and performance. The Director of Recruitment reports to the Executive Director of Admissions and works in close partnership with the Enrollment Management Marketing and Communications Manager to ensure recruitment strategies and outreach communications are fully aligned. For transfer student recruitment, the Director collaborates directly with the Transfer Center to develop and coordinate outreach strategies, build community college relationships, and support prospective transfer students through the enrollment process. This position plays a direct role in TSU’s ability to grow enrollment, improve yield, and build the transfer pipeline that Texas’s performance-based funding framework is specifically designed to incentivize.
