This contract position, located near Arvada, CO, focuses on providing services in a resource classroom environment for students with diverse learning needs, primarily at the elementary level. The assignment begins as soon as possible and runs through November 2026, offering a consistent schedule of 40 hours per week at a welcoming school environment.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Colorado Department of Education (CDE) license or COOL—must be active or pending (required prior to interviewing)
• Previous experience working with students on the autism spectrum in an elementary classroom setting
• Strong classroom management abilities
• Proven capability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and school staff
• Passion for supporting and empowering students with special needs
• Familiarity with IEPs, progress monitoring, and effective instructional strategies in a resource setting

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and support to a diverse elementary caseload in a resource classroom
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Utilize strengths-based, evidence-based teaching practices tailored to the needs of students with autism and other exceptionalities
• Employ proactive classroom management strategies to foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere
• Track student growth and maintain clear, consistent documentation
• Consult and collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and families to maximize student success
