Job Description & Requirements Specialty: NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/21/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $ 2403.40 Opportunity: RN - NICU Job Details: • Minimum 1 year of experience required • Travel experience required - does not accept first-time travelers • Work in a Level II NICU caring for unstable newborns 32 weeks gestational age and greater • Attend all deliveries including high-risk deliveries • Floating may be required to Postpartum and Labor & Delivery units • Weekend shifts required to meet staffing needs • Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day • Required certifications: BLS, NRP • Compact license must be in hand at time of submission • Charting system experience required • Required skills and procedures include: - Breathing treatments - Chest tube set-up and care - CPAP/BiPAP - Procedure sedation and RSI (Rapid Sequence Intubation) drugs - Cooling/warming blanket - Drains and feeding tubes - PICC/central lines and syringe pumps - GYN surgeries, couplet care, and transition nursery - UAC (Umbilical Artery Catheter) and UVC (Umbilical Vein Catheter) - IV vasopressors, surfactants, and steroids - Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome management - Bubble CPAP and oxygen delivery systems - Breastfeeding support and handling of breast milk - Feedings (bottle, breast, and gavage) - Isolation precautions/PPE • 2 professional references required covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years Facility: This healthcare facility operates a Level II NICU equipped to care for unstable newborns and high-risk deliveries.
