This is an opportunity to make a major contribution in a fast-paced environment.Key Job Information:Work Type: Fully RemoteEmployment: Full-TimeExperience: Requires 2+ years of professional backend software engineer experienceSalary Range: $50,000 - $90,000 per yearVisa Sponsorship: Not available for this roleResponsibilities (What You'll Do):Architect and build scalable, high-performance backend systems utilizing modern languages, including Python, Go, Rust, and WebAssemblyUtilize various cloud services, such as Amplify, Lightsail, and Fargate, to construct a robust and secure infrastructureWork with both relational databases, like PostgreSQL, and NoSQL solutions, such as MongoDB and vector databasesWork in close partnership with the foundational engineering team to deliver features that have a high impactBe given the opportunity to influence the overall direction and product vision of the platformQualifications and Experience (Requirements):A minimum of 2+ years of full-time, post-graduate software engineering experience is requiredDemonstrated proficiency in programming languages like Python and GoFamiliarity with cloud infrastructure, specifically AWS services (Amplify, Lightsail, Fargate), and the implementation of Access Control Lists (ACL)Experience with various databases, including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Vector DatabasesMust be adaptive and able to move quickly, capable of rapid response and changing projects as needed (you will not be responsible for more than two codebases concurrently)Must have the ability to work during standard Pacific Standard Time (PST) hoursExcellent written and verbal communication skills in English
