Litigation Legal Assistant

Hybrid: Four days in office and one remote day

A top ranked and highly reputable national law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to join its Austin office. This position supports a busy group of attorneys handling regulatory, administrative and contested-case matters.

This is a high-volume desk requiring someone who is highly organized, proactive and comfortable managing competing deadlines. Environmental or regulatory experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain attorney calendars and monitor deadlines
• Prepare, proofread and format pleadings, discovery, exhibits, correspondence and other legal documents
• Assist with electronic filings and docket monitoring
• Handle attorney time entry, billing review and prebill processing
• Open new matters and submit conflict requests
• Coordinate meetings, travel and expense reimbursements
• Organize documents, correspondence and electronic files
• Communicate professionally with attorneys, clients and internal teams

Qualifications:

• Two or more years of litigation legal assistant experience
• Strong calendaring, time-entry and administrative experience
• Ability to support a heavy desk in a fast-paced environment
• Strong proofreading, organizational and communication skills
• Experience with administrative or contested-case litigation is a plus
• Experience with PUC, the Railroad Commission, SOAH or TCEQ is a plus but not required
• iManage experience is a plus
