Job Details Position: PCU Registered Nurse (Progressive Care Unit RN) Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment Location: Columbus, OH 43210 Start Date: 10/05/2026 End Date: 01/25/2027 Duration: 16 weeks Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts Weekly Hours: 36 Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,940 - $2,040 Unit Type: Progressive Care / Oncology Telemetry Patient Population: Adult patients with solid tumor, orthopedic oncology, and thoracic oncology needs Charting System: Epic Job Requirements 2 years of total acute care nursing experience required At least 1 year of recent PCU nursing experience required Current acute care experience must be active and consistent within the last 12 months Valid compact or state RN license required at time of submission Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required Experience with Epic preferred/required Ability to float to equivalent or lower-acuity oncology or Med-Surg units as needed Strong background in telemetry, high-acuity progressive care, and adult inpatient nursing preferred Professional references from leadership or supervisory roles required Responsibilities Deliver safe, high-quality patient care in a progressive care unit and oncology telemetry setting Monitor and interpret dysrhythmias, ABGs, and cardiac rhythms for adult patients Support patients receiving complex therapies such as cardiac drips, insulin protocols, PCA, and heparin infusions Provide care for lines, ports, PICCs, feeding tubes, chest tubes, and surgical drains Assist with respiratory support including nasal cannula, HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP, and tracheostomy management Administer blood products while maintaining infection prevention and fall prevention standards Collaborate with rapid response teams, physicians, and interdisciplinary healthcare staff to support optimal outcomes Adapt to rotating day and night assignments based on department needs Location Highlights Columbus, Ohio offers the energy of a thriving Midwest city with a welcoming community feel, convenient access to dining, entertainment, parks, and cultural attractions.
