Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse – North Carolina

Start Date: June 29, 2026
Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, every other weekend required

Highlights:

• 44-bed Progressive Care Unit specializing in neuro and trauma care
• Patient ratios: 4:1 standard, 5:1 stretch
• EMR: Cerner
• 13-week contract with potential for extension
• Comprehensive equipment and technology support including IV pumps, patient lifts, PCA pumps, and chest tube management
• Float to stepdown or medical-surgical units as needed

Requirements:

• Current North Carolina RN license or ability to obtain
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications (required)
• Neuro and trauma care experience required
• Proficiency in neurological assessments, spinal checks, C-collar placement, TLSO braces, chest tubes, PCA pumps, lumbar drains, feeding tube management, blood transfusions, and IV infusions
• Team-oriented approach with strong patient-focused values
